VEmesh as an underlying protocol in the newly released IEC 62386-104 for wireless DALI
20 March, 2019 — The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) issues a pre-release version of 62386-104 standard, which is widely referred to as the international DALI standard. The new part includes Virtual Extension VEmesh wireless protocol as a normative telecommunications technology. VEmesh is the high performance wireless technology in use by Virtual Extension during the last years in a wide range of professional smart lighting IoT applications for connecting DALI luminaires and sensors in streetlighting, industrial sites and large building offices. VEmesh is also the only wireless technology in IEC 62386-104 standard that operates in the industrial strength sub-1GHz frequency band and offers space, time and frequency diversity for utmost robustness.
